Why do adults feel the need to scream and yell during sports played by 8-9 year olds? Is winning now that important?
I thought back to being that age and I REALLY don't remember being yelled at by coaches except when we were screwing around--and possibly gonna get hurt. But they didn't get all over the kids. Heck, even parents are rude. And for what? How many of those kids are ever going to play h.s. ball? college? Pro ball?
SHouldn't there be some sort of FUN in sports? At least Erick had fun.

Ahhh, the stat junkie in me. *Trying to not be a grumpy parent--but an ump shouldn't call a ball that hits the plate strike three just because everything is running late and its 10 at night. **4 stolen bases in one night...more than I had in 20 years of playing ball at any level...
